The modern apartment is located in the famous district Neubau, one of the most beautiful and popular districts of Vienna. The extremely convenient location offers our guests the best possible transport connection to all sights of interest in the city. Ringstrasse, Kunst- and Naturhistorisches Museum, Museumsquartier, Burgtor (Heldenplatz), Albertina, Secession, Staatsoper and many other sights as well can be reached on foot or with public transport within minutes. Public transport, supermarkets, restaurants, taxi, gas station, as well as several coffee houses are located near the apartment.
The nearest subway station Neubaugasse is just 600 meters away - subway line U3 gets you to the city center in minutes. Easily you will find the finest shopping and dining establishments, and just several minutes away are Neubaugasse and Mariahilferstrasse, the biggest and most famous shopping streets in Vienna.
Neubau is the seventh district of Vienna (German: 7. Bezirk). Known as the city’s creative hub, you’ll find Neubau awash with design shops and studios, organic food shops and vintage cafes.
The western border of Neubau is the Gürtel, that surrounds the former "Vorstädte". The southern border of Neubau is marked by the Mariahilferstraße, the main shopping road of Vienna full of mega-stores that sell everything- clothes, shoes, mobile phones, more clothes…
In the north, Neubau meets the more quiet Josefstadt, the eight district - the border is marked by Lerchenfelderstraße. In the East, Neubau meets the first district - and it is here that you find the most significant attractions of the seventh district, starting with the MuseumsQuartier.
Situated in the former imperial stables, the MuseumsQuartier unites a dozen of good and at least two excellent museums with a total exhibition space of 6,000 square metres. Our favorite is the Leopold Museum, dedicated to Austrian modernism and home to the World′s largest collection of Schiele works.
In combination with the MuseumsQuartier itself, you will find a whole bunch of small cafes, bars and bistros and bookshops.
Cross the MuseumsQuartier and you will get to the Spittelberg. Today, it is a very fashionable and expensive neighbourhood with art and craft shops, restaurants and bars. There are also many art galleries and interior design stores.
One thing that I forgot: Right next to the MuseumsQuartier you can find the Volkstheater. In order to accommodate the masses, the Volkstheater was built on a large scale: It is one of the biggest theatres in the German-speaking world.
There are several ways to get from the airport to the Vienna Art apartment:
1) Train Number S 7 ( or CAT City Airport train ) from the airport to the station Wien Mitte, and from there with the metro number U3 to the station Neubaugasse. From there you can reach the apartment in a few minutes by foot.
2) Further information can be found here: http://www.wienerlinien.at/
3) From the airport you can also reach the apartment by taxi which costs around 35 Euros.
The district 7 (Neubau), where the apartment Vienna Art lies, is a central district and it is a short-stay parking zone from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m, except public holidays.
